  • Anyone over the age of 21.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and credit card.

  • NYS renters are not required to have a boating license
  • The Lake George Park Commission requires any renter to watch a 5-minute safety video prior to renting the boat.
  • There are several online boating classes you can take to get certified.
  • You will sign off on the rental contract that any operator has watched the video. It contains a lot of helpful rules and regulations on Lake George. If you have watched the video in the past, you will still need to watch it once per season, it will be a great refresher on the buoy and navigation system on the lake.

  • We do not take reservations, they are first come, first served.
  • The time will start from when you leave the dock.

  • Yes, all of our rentals come with a full tank of gas, you pay for what you use at the end.
  • There are gas stations all over the lake if you need to top off throughout the day.

  • Parking is somewhat limited, we have a tight parking lot.
  • We do have an overflow lot where we can shuttle any larger vehicle or campers.
  • The first vehicle is free; any additional vehicle is a flat $10 fee.
  • Parking tags can be picked up or purchased at the rental booth.

  • Anyone who reserves their reservation before April 1st we apply a 10% early bird discount.
  • If you rent before Memorial Day or after Labor Day, we apply a 20% off season discount.
  • If you missed the early booking, for our loyal long-term renters, we apply a 5% prior renter discount if you are renting 5 days or longer.

  • We do allow dogs!
  • There will be a cleaning fee, or you will be charged if there is any damage done.

  • A single person tube and water skis are free with every boat rental.
  • We have a few different sizes of water skis, ask the dock hands and they will show you the equipment.
  • For $25 per day we also rent a knee board, wake board or double tube.
  • We do not allow you to swap the free equipment for any of the paid equipment.
  • We also do not take reservations on water sports equipment, it is first come, first served.

  • No, we only have power boat rentals.

  • Each boat has a maximum capacity plate, you can under no circumstances have more people on the boat then it is rated for. It does not matter if it is a child or adult.
  • There is also a weight limit. For people that have a lot of camping gear, our dock hands will monitor how many people & gear can safely fit on the boat.
  • You may have to make multiple trips for camping gear or additional passengers, we do not provide any island shuttles.

  • We will confirm the boat is available & can send you a deposit link via email.
  • You can also always call the rental office during business hours to reserve (remember, we only take reservations on day rentals or longer).

  • For daily rentals, we require a $250 deposit (non-refundable within 14 days)
  • For multi day rentals, we require a $500 deposit (non-refundable within 14 days)
  • The deposit will go towards the cost of the rental, you will pay the remaining balance when you come to pick up the boat.
  • You must cancel outside of the 14-day cancellation period to receive a full refund, if you cancel within the 14 days we do not refund, we will however let you keep the deposit as an in-store credit to be used at any time in the future- there is no expiration on the in-store credits. That policy is for all reservations. 
  • We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover. We recently started accepting Apple Pay. We do not allow personal checks.

  • Rentals are rain or shine, once you leave the dock there are no refunds or in-store credits. 
  • If you decide to cancel a reservation we will take your deposit and put it as an in-store credit to be used anytime in the future for a boat rental. Deposits cannot be used towards gasoline or our ship store. You must provide notice in order to avoid losing the deposit.
  • For any rental that leaves our dock, once you pay for the boat there are no refunds or in-store credits. You will sign the contract that you understand this policy. When you come to pick up the rental, you have the option to shorten the reservation or modify the dates BEFORE you leave. However, once you pay for it and take the boat we do not refund or issue any credits if you return early.

  • If you have one of our rental boats, at the end of each day you can bring the boat back to the marina to leave overnight.
  • Be sure to ask the dock hand for a ‘Rented’ sign to leave in the windshield of the boat.
  • We are open from 8:30am to 6pm during the season, you are welcome to keep the boat out until sundown (typically around 8:30pm; no rental boats are allowed after dark).
  • If you are planning on coming after 6pm, we will leave an open dock slip, but no one will be there to help you dock and tie the boat up.
  • We do ask you to leave the keys in the boat or cup holder in the event we get there in the morning and need to move the boat to another dock.
  • You are welcome to keep any towels or coolers inside the boat, we do have security cameras and people that live on premise all the time. Please take any valuables with you, we are not responsible for anything that is lost or stolen.
